11A—6. Effect of Chapter on Other Laws and Ordinances.
This Chapter shall not be deemed to repeal or modify or other-
wise affect in any manner any other ordinance, resolution, law, rule
or regulation of the County; provided, that wherever this Chapter
imposes more stringent regulations, restrictions, limitations or re-
quirements, the provisions of this Chapter shall prevail. Where any
violation is also a violation of any other ordinance, resolution, law,
rule or regulation of the County, enforcement shall occur under that
ordinance, resolution, law, rule or regulation.
11A—7. Penalties for Violations.
Any person convicted of a violation of any provision of this
Chapter shall be punished by a fine of not more than Two Hundred
Dollars ($200.00). Extermination or correction by the Health Officer,
at the cost to the owner, shall not relieve the owner from prosecution
for violation of this Section for failure to obey the orders of the Health
Officer. In addition, the County may institute injunctions, mandamus
or any other appropriate action or proceedings at law or equity for
the enforcement of this Chapter or to correct violations of this
Chapter, and any court of competent jurisdiction shall have the right
to issue restraining orders, temporary or permanent injunctions or
other appropriate forms of remedy or relief.
11A—8. Regulations.
The County Executive is hereby authorized to adopt and enforce
such rules and regulations as he may from time to time find necessary
to promulgate to carry out the purposes of this Chapter to protect the
public health, safety and welfare.
Sec. 2. Severability Clause.
Should any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of this
Chapter be declared invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, such
decision shall not affect the validity of the Ordinance in its entirety
or of any part thereof, other than that so declared to be invalid.
Sec. 3. Effective date.
This Act shall take effect on the 76th day following the day on
which it becomes law.
