this credited service. Said actuarial computation shall be based on
actual compensation received during the period of County service for
which past service credit is desired. This option for the purchase of
such service credits must be exercised by a participant within ninety
(90) days following the effective date of this article and payments
made and completed by July 1, 1974.
(c) Each employee may obtain credited service under the em-
ployees' retirement plan of the county for any employment with the
county on or after January 1, 1949 which has not previously been
credited to him under this plan. Before receiving such credited serv-
ice, the employee shall pay into the employees' retirement plan of the
county the amount of money actuarially determined necessary by the
county to purchase in full this credited service. Said actuarial com-
putation shall be based on actual compensation received during the
period of County service for which past service credit is desired.
Payments for such credited service must be completed within five (5)
years after the date the employee elects to make the purchase.
Section 2. And be it further enacted, That this Ordinance shall
take effect forty-five (45) days from the date it becomes law.

13-303.4 (d) of the Anne Arundel County Code (1967 Edition and
Supplements), Title 13, "Planning and Zoning", Subtitle 3, "Alter-
nate Zoning Regulations", Article III, "Residential Districts",
Heading, "RA—Agricultural Residential Districts" (as enacted by
Bill No. 18-70, and as added or amended); to repeal and re-enact,
with amendments, Section 13-304.3 (d) of said Code, Title, Subtitle
and Article, Heading, "R1—Residential Districts"; to repeal and
re-enact, with amendments, Section 13-305.3 (d) of said Code,
Title, Subtitle and Article, Heading, "R2—Residential Districts";
to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 13-306.4 (d) of
said Code, Title, Subtitle and Article, Heading, "R5—Residential
Districts"; to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
13-327.2 (d) (2) of said Code, Title and Subtitle, Article VIII,
"Off-Street Parking" (as enacted by Bill No. 44-70, and as added or
amended); and to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
13-327.6 (13) of said Code, Title, Subtitle and Article, respectively
to clarify setbacks in Residential Districts; to clarify the calcula-
tion of coverage concerning landscaping strips required in parking
areas; to broaden the parking area requirements for retail uses; to
provide for the adoption of zoning maps, to re-designate the section
numbers as originally adopted and to authorize additional re-num-
bering or re-arrangement of such sections of said Subtitle as may
be necessary or desirable to maintain an orderly numbering se-
quence for the entire Subtitle, to provide for the severability of the
