Whereas, The 1971 Cumulative Supplement to the Baltimore
County Code, 1968, has been compiled and edited and is to be pub-
lished by the Michie City Publications Company, Charlottesville,
Virginia; now, therefore
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the 1971 Cumulative Supplement to the Baltimore County Code,
1968, compiled, edited and published by the Michie City Publica-
tions Company, be and the same is hereby legalized and shall be
deemed and taken as evidence of those portions of the Public Local
Laws of Baltimore County purporting to be contained therein in all
the courts of this State and by all justices of the peace, trial magis-
trates and all other public officials of the State and of its political
subdivisions.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1972.

(House Bill 544)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 7-7(c)
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Garrett County (1971 Edition,
being Article 12 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland),
title "Garrett County," subtitle "County Commissioners," as last
amended by Chapter 62 of the Acts of 1959, to raise the permissible
limit the County Commissioners may spend for road machinery
and equipment in any one year.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 1-1 (c) of the Code of Public Local Laws of Garrett
County (1971 Edition, being Article 12 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Garrett County," subtitle "County Com-
missioners," as last amended by Chapter 62 of the Acts of 1959, be
and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

(c) Same. When deemed necessary or advisable to purchase
trucks or other road building or repair equipment it shall not be
necessary for said County Commissioners to advertise for bids on the
same but they shall make all due and reasonable effort to purchase
the same at the lowest possible price and, except in cases where
equipment can be obtained to the advantage of said county by pur-
chasing at public or forced sales, shall circularize local or other dealers
handling or selling the type of equipment needed, giving all specifi-
cations and requirements, and said County Commissioners are hereby
authorized to trade in old equipment on new purchases, without
asking for bids, whenever they deem the same advisable or ex-
