Section 12-1733.

The franchisee shall assume the costs of publication of this
franchise as such publication is required by law. A bill for publica-
tion costs shall be presented to the franchisee by the Controller
upon the franchisee's filing of acceptance and shall be paid at that
time.

Section 12-1734.

Should any section, clause or provision of this franchise be
declared invalid by a Court of Record, same shall not affect the
validity of the franchise as a whole or part thereof, other than the
part so declared invalid. In the event that any proceeding is in-
stituted in any Court having jurisdiction to determine the legality
of any provision of this Article, then the franchisee, by the accept-
ance hereof, agrees, at its sole cost and expense, to defend the
legality of such provision or provisions. Should the franchisee fail
to undertake such defense, then the County Council may, at its sole
election, declare the franchise hereby granted to be void and of no
effect.

Section 12-1735.

THE FRANCHISEE MAY GRANT TO ANY BANK, IN-
SURANCE COMPANY OR OTHER QUALIFIED FINANCIAL
INSTITUTION A SECURITY INTEREST IN ANY OF ITS
ASSETS UNDER THE UNIFORM COMMERCIAL CODE OF
THE STATE OF MARYLAND, INCLUDING FACILITIES
ERECTED UNDER THE TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT AND
ITS RIGHTS HEREUNDER.

Section 5. And be it further enacted, That this Ordinance
shall take effect forty-five (45) days from the date it becomes law.

81-67, as last amended by Bill No. 133-70, legalizing Supplement
No. 7, 9-70 to the Anne Arundel County Code (1967 Edition),
as prepared and published by the Michie City Publications Com-
pany, Charlottesville, Virginia, and making it evidence of the law
of Anne Arundel County, Maryland.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the County Council of Anne Arundel
County, Maryland, That Supplements "1-67", "9-67", "9-68", "No. 4,
6-69", "No. 5, 12-69", [and] "No. 6, 6-70" and "No. 7, 9-70" to the
[Code of] Anne Arundel County [, Maryland] Code (1967 Edition),
as prepared and published by the Michie City Publications Company,
Charlottesville, Virginia, be and they are hereby legalized, and made
evidence of the laws of Anne Arundel County, Maryland.
