ence, the following information concerning the Charter amendments: (1)
the complete text of Section 23 of the CHARTER FOR THE TOWN OF
CECILTON, as hereby enacted; (2) the date of the referendum election,
if any, held with respect thereof; (3) the number of votes cast for and
against the question containing the Charter amendment, whether by the
President and Commissioners of the Town of Cecilton, or in a Referendum;
and (4) the effective date of the Charter amendment.
The Charter amendment enacted by the aforegoing Resolution be-
comes effective on the 24th day of June, 1971.

Excerpts from the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of the Town Com-
missioners of Centreville, July 22, 1971.
Upon motion of Mr. Kaufman, duly seconded by Mr. Hodgson, and
passed by a unanimous vote, it was resolved that the following resolution
be adopted, to wit:
Charter Amendment
A Resolution to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
115 of Article IX of the Town Charter of the Town of Centreville (May
1, 1965) Article IX being entitled "Chesterfield Cemetery Depart-
ment," Section 115 subtitled "Revenues," to change the provisions
relating to where revenue and receipts shall be kept, so that it will
no longer be kept separate and apart from other funds of the town
but will be kept in a general account with said other funds but desig-
nated as being from the Chesterfield Cemetery Department.
Section 1. Be it resolved by the Commissioners of the Town of Centre-
ville, Maryland, that Article IX, entitled "Chesterfield Cemetery Depart-
ment," Section 115 subtitled "Revenues" be repealed and re-enacted to
read as follows:
115. Revenues. The yearly revenue and receipts of the Chesterfield
Cemetery Department shall be kept (separate and apart from) with the
other funds of said Town in its general account but such revenue and re-
ceipts will be marked specifically so that it will be shown which Depart-
ment they are connected with, and the same shall be expended in the
following order:
(a) To pay the yearly operating expenses of the Cemetery.
