Pursuant to the provisions contained in Section 23-11 of Article
33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, the State Administrative
Board of Election Laws does hereby certify that at the Special Elec-
tion held in Allegany County on May 18, 1971, an Act known as
Chapter 5 was submitted to the voters of Allegany County under the
provisions of said Chapter 5 of the Acts of 1971, said Act being as
follows:
AN ACT to add new Sections 166A, 166B, 166C and 166D to the
Code of Public Local Laws of Allegany County (1963 Edition,
being Article 1 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland),
title "Allegany County," subtitle "Fire Companies," to follow
immediately after Section 166 thereof and to be under the new
subheading "Bedford Road Fire Area," relating to the crea-
tion of the "Bedford Road Fire Area," and to the levy of a
special fire tax in said area, and providing for a referendum
thereon.
AND it IS hereby certified that at said election, 170 votes were
cast for the adoption of said Chapter 5 and 125 votes were cast
against the adoption of said Chapter 5, the said Chapter 5 of the Acts
of 1971 has therefore been ratified by the qualified voters of Allegany
County.
Given Under My Hand and the Seal of the State Administra-
tive Board of Election Laws of Maryland, Done at the
City of Annapolis, this 22nd day of June, in the Year
of Our Lord, One Thousand, Nine Hundred and Seventy-
One.
