of transfer of real property, and all subsequent tax billings, tax
sales, etc., shall be in the name of the new owner. The County Com-
missioners are hereby authorized to provide such additional clerical
help as may be necessary to carry out the terms of this section.
(b) The Assessor's office shall furnish the treasurer's office a
copy of the transfer of real property within seven working days after
receipt of the record of transfer.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1972.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 254 of
Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement
Volume), title "Crimes and Punishments," subtitle "Crimes and
Punishments," subheading "Gaming," to increase the maximum
amounts allowed for cash prizes and "jackpots" for bingo games in
Harford County, to allow for the issuance by the Harford County
Sheriff of more than on ONE bingo game license at any one time
under certain circumstances, and relating generally thereto.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 254 of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1971 Replacement Volume), title "Crimes and Punishments,"
subtitle "Crimes and Punishments," subheading "Gaming," be and
it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:
254.
Notwithstanding the provisions of this subtitle, the Sheriff of Har-
ford County shall be authorized to issue a license to the following
organizations to conduct games of bingo, a raffle, or a carnival award-
ing prizes by the use of paddle wheels, to wit:
(a) A tax-supported volunteer fire company or auxiliary unit of
which the members thereof are directly associated with such fire
company.
(b) A nationally chartered veterans' organization or auxiliary
unit of which the members thereof are directly associated with such
organization.
(c) A bona fide religious group which has conducted religious
services at a fixed location in Harford County for a period of at
least three years prior to the application to the Sheriff.
(d) A nonprofit organization desiring to raise money for an ex-
exclusively charitable, athletic or educational purposes specifically de-
scribed in the application to the Sheriff.
