and generally relating thereto.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 160A be and it is hereby added to Article 77 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1969 Replacement Volume), title
"Public Education," subtitle "Chapter 14½. Employee Organiza-
tions," to follow immediately after Section 160 thereof and to read as
follows:

160A.

The Board of Education of Prince George's County is authorized
to negotiate, in the same manner as prescribed in this Chapter,
with organizations which represent non-certificated public school
employees.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1972.

(House Bill 1493)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 172(a)
and (c) of Article 48A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1972
Replacement Volume), title "Insurance Code," subtitle "11. Agents
and Brokers," relating to the temporary licensing of life and
health insurance agents; repealing the provisions for weekly pre-
mium industrial insurance agents; and providing for the dura-
tion, restrictions, and renewal of such license.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 172(a) and (c) of Article 48A of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1972 Replacement Volume), title "Insurance Code,"
subtitle "11. Agents and Brokers," be and they are hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

172.

(a) The Commissioner may in his discretion issue temporary li-
censes as agent or broker to an individual otherwise qualified there-
for without regard to educational, experience or examination re-
quirements in the following cases:

(1)    To the surviving spouse or next of kin or to the administra-
tor or executor, or the appointee of such administrator of executor,
of a deceased agent or broker.

(2)    To the spouse, next of kin, employee or legal guardian of an
agent or broker who is mentally or physically disabled.

(3)    To an employee of a firm, or officer or employee of a cor-
poration, upon the death or disability of an individual licensee.
