(18)    Section 461 (relating to rape generally);

(19)    Section 486 (relating to robbery generally);

(20)    Section 488 (relating to robbery with a deadly weapon).

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1972.

CHAPTER 621
(House Bill 1396)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 52 of
Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Supplement),
title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle "General Provisions on Issue
of Licenses," to provide that certain alcoholic beverage licensees
in Garrett County may have off-sale privileges under certain
conditions AND TO REMOVE AN UNNECESSARY REFER-
ENCE TO A FEDERAL PERMIT.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 52 of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1971 Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle "General
Provisions on Issue of Licenses," be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

52.

(a)    No license shall be issued in Garrett County if the applicant
(l)has a federal permit for the sale of any alcoholic beverages other
than beer and if such permit is obtained subsequent to the
issuance

of the license, then the license shall be automatically revoked and

the licensee shall be liable to prosecution for sale without a license;
and (2)
has not had an established business for one year prior to the
date of application.

(b)    Notwithstanding any other provisions of this Article, the
Liquor Control Board may promulgate rules and regulations allowing
any Class B, C, or D licensee to sell alcoholic beverages, as provided
by their licenses, for off-sale consumption, provided that any such
licensee shall purchase all wine and liquors from the Garrett County
Liquor Control Board,.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1972.
