establish the criteria for satisfactory evidence of proof of a per-
son's birthdate, and relating generally thereto.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 3-5A be and it is hereby added to Article 33 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume), title
"Election Code," subtitle "Registration of Voters—General Provi-
sions," to follow immediately after Section 3-5 thereof, and to read
as follows:
3-5A.
(a) Any person who seeks to be registered to vote may be re-
quired by the local board to submit satisfactory evidence of proof of
his date of birth. If the person fails to submit the requisite evidence
of proof, he shall not be registered to vote.
(b) The State Administrator of Election Laws shall prescribe
what evidence shall be deemed satisfactory as proof of a person's age.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1972.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 527 of
Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement
Volume), title "Crimes and Punishments," subtitle "Crimes and
Punishments," subheading "Sabbath Breaking," to provide that
hours for exhibition of movies in Somerset County on Sunday are
between 7:00 2:00 p.m. and midnight.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 527 of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1971 Replacement Volume), title "Crimes and Punishments," sub-
title "Crimes and Punishments," subheading "Sabbath Breaking,"
be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:
527.
Notwithstanding any other provisions of the Code, it shall be law-
ful to exhibit motion pictures in Somerset County between the hours
of 2:00 p.m. [and 7:00 p.m. and [9:00] 7:00 p.m.] and midnight on
Sunday. The work of any persons in connection with exhibition
of motion pictures during the aforementioned hours on Sunday shall
also be lawful.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1972.
