(e)   The County Commissioners for Calvert County, Charles
County, St. Mary's County and Prince George's County shall make
all levies and appropriations necessary to provide for the payment of
the salaries, compensation, expenses and other costs properly incurred
under or by the provisions of this subtitle.

(f)  The authority of the judges of the Seventh Judicial Circuit to
appoint other administrative or clerical personnel is not limited by
any provision of this subtitle.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That all acts, remuneration,
and official obligations incurred or imposed by prior legislation or
court order upon any individual having discharged or discharging
duties comparable to those described in Section 1 of this Act on its
effective date are hereby validated and, where applicable, transferred
to that individual or his successors duly appointed hereunder.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1972.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 2-3 (a)
(14) of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Sup-
plement), title "Election Code," subtitle "Election Boards and Em-
ployees," to raise the salary of the Chairman of the Board of
Election Supervisors in Howard County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 2-3 (a) (14) of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1971 Supplement), title "Election Code," subtitle "Elec-
tion Boards and Employees," be and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

(a) (14) Howard County: chairman [$1,800.00] $2,400.00; asso-
ciate members, $1,200.00 each.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1972.
