19.

(i) In Worcester [, Dorchester,] and Wicomico Counties jurors
shall receive fifteen dollars for each day they attend the circuit court
as jurors and shall receive no extra allowances for either mileage or
travel expenses.

(j) In Dorchester County, jurors shall receive [ten dollars
($10.00)] fifteen dollars ($15.00) for each day they attend the
Circuit Court.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1972.

CHAPTER 386
(Senate Bill 98)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 2.08(c)
of Article 66B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1970 Replace-
ment Volume), title "Zoning and Planning," subtitle "Zoning in
Baltimore City," providing the additional power to the board of
zoning appeals to consider as a factor the availability of schools
and other public facilities when acting upon a zoning application,
under such rules as may be provided by ordinance of the local
legislative body upon the application of any person who would be
adversely affected by proposed residential construction.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 2.08(c) of Article 66B of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1970 Replacement Volume), title "Zoning and Planning,"
subtitle "Zoning in Baltimore City," be and the same is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

2.08

(c) The board of zoning appeals shall have the following powers:

(1)    To hear and decide appeals where it is alleged there is an
error in any order, requirement, decision, or determination made by
an administrative official in the enforcement of this article or of any
ordinance adopted pursuant thereto.

(2)    To hear and decide special exceptions to the terms of the
ordinance upon which such board is required to pass under such
ordinance.

(3)    To authorize upon appeal in specific cases a variance from the
terms of the ordinance.

(4)    To approve buildings, and uses limited as to location under
such rules and regulations as may be provided by ordinance of the
local legislative body.

(5)    To take into consideration, as a factor when acting upon
a zoning application, the availability of schools and other public
