and just claim to any part of such funds, the Chief Judge may by
proper order require that repayment shall be made by the Treasurer
to such claimant as specified in such order. It shall be the duty of the
Clerk of the Supreme Bench to issue a certificate under the official
seal of the court embodying the terms and provisions of such order
and to transmit the same to the Treasurer, which certificate shall
constitute the latter's authority for making such repayment. After
the lapse of such three-year period all such funds remaining in the
custody of the Treasurer shall be credited to the general funds of the
Mayor and City Council of Baltimore.

[All information and data obtained in the discharge of official
duty by any probation worker or appointee of the Supreme Bench
serving in the Probation Department, from whatsoever source the
same shall be obtained shall be privileged information and shall not
be receivable as evidence in a tribunal or court, whether of original,
appellate, inferior or superior jurisdiction, and shall not be disclosed
directly or indirectly outside the membership of the Probation De-
partment in the discharge of his official duties to any one other than
to a member or members of the Supreme Bench of Baltimore City,
unless and until otherwise ordered by the Supreme Bench of Balti-
more City or by any member thereof.]
22-88.
[The Supreme Bench of Baltimore City may appoint a Chief Pro-
bation Officer, such supervisory and administrative assistants and as
many probation workers, clerical assistants and other employees to
carry out the provisions of this sub-heading as it may deem proper;
and from time to time, and without assigning any reason therefor,
may revoke the appointment of any one or more of such probation
officers, administrative assistants and probation workers, clerical as-
sistants or other employees so assigned to work in the Probation
Department, as well as any and all of such persons heretofore so
appointed or so assigned. Such persons may be selected by examina-
tion, held by, or under the authority or direction or consent of the
Supreme Bench of Baltimore City.]
22-89.
[The Supreme Bench of Baltimore City shall fix the salaries of
each probation worker and of each of such clerical assistants and other
employees; the moneys necessary therefor, as well as all moneys
necessary to carry out the provisions of this sub-heading, shall be
paid by the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore and shall be included
in the next annual budget of the Board of Estimates in the Ordinance
of Estimates, and shall be paid in the same manner as the salaries of
other appointees of said Supreme Bench are paid. Moneys for said
salaries and expenses shall be paid on proper statements or vouchers
certified to or approved by the Supreme Bench or by any member
thereof, and without the necessity of obtaining the consent of the
Mayor and City Council of Baltimore thereto; provided, however,
that the total of such yearly salaries and expenses of the said Proba-
tion Department shall not exceed the sum of forty thousand dollars,
unless the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore shall assent to any
sum in excess of said sum of forty thousand dollars annually.]
