AN ACT to authorize the creation of a State debt in the aggregate
amount of Eighty six Million Eight Hundred Forty-seven Thou-
sand Nine Hundred Dollars ($86,847,900) NINETY-SEVEN
MILLION TWO FIVE HUNDRED FIFTY THREE THOU-
SAND TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ($97,253,200) ($97,553,
200) ONE HUNDRED FOUR MILLION SEVEN HUNDRED
THREE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS $(104,703,-
200), the proceeds thereof to be used for certain necessary
building, construction, demolition, planning, deferred maintenance
and equipment purposes of this State, for acquiring certain
land and options in connection therewith, and providing generally
for the issue and sale of bonds evidencing such loan and, for
the purposes of this Act, MODIFYING THE PROVISIONS
OF SECTION 8 OF CHAPTER 743 OF THE ACTS OF
1965 AS SAID CHAPTER 743 WAS AMENDED BY CHAP-
TER 568 OF THE ACTS OF 1967 AND FURTHER AMENDED
BY CHAPTER 101 OF THE ACTS OF 1970; modifying the pro-
visions of Section 8 of Chapter 504 of the Acts of 1966 as said
Act was amended by Chapters 426, 569, 578 and 759 of the Acts
of 1967, and further amended by Chapters 169, 170, 171, 172,
324, 382, 409, 435, 539, 610, 762 and 768 of the Acts of 1968, and
further amended by Chapter 409 of the Acts of 1969, and further
amended by Chapter 101 of the Acts of 1970; modifying the pro-
visions of Section 8 of Chapter 759 of the Acts of 1967 as said
Chapter was amended by Chapters 435, 612, 664 and 762 of the
Acts of 1968, and further amended by Chapters 409, 524, 611 and
621 of the Acts of 1969, and further amended by Chapter 101 of the
Acts of 1970; modifying the provisions of Section 8 of Chapter 435
of the Acts of 1968 as said Chapter was amended by Chapter
409 of the Acts of 1969 and further amended by Chapter 101
of the Acts of 1970; modifying the provisions of Section 8 of
Chapter 409 of the Acts of 1969 as said Chapter was amended by
Chapter 101 of the Acts of 1970; MODIFYING THE PROVI-
SIONS OF SECTION 8 OF CHAPTER 101 OF THE ACTS OF
1970; modifying the provisions of Section 10 of Chapter 504 of
the Acts of 1966 as said Chapter was amended by Chapter 169
of the Acts of 1968; modifying the provisions of Section 10 of
Chapter 759 of the Acts of 1967 as said Chapter was amended
by Chapter 499 of the Acts of 1969; and modifying the provisions
of Section 10 of Chapter 435 of the Acts of 1968 as said Chapter
was amended by Chapter 512 of the Acts of 1970.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the Board of Public Works is hereby authorized and empowered
to issue a State loan to be known as the "General Construction Loan
of 1971," in the aggregate sum of Eighty six Million Eight Hun-
dred Forty-seven Thousand Nine Hundred Dollars ($86,847,900)
NINETY SEVEN MILLION TWO FIVE HUNDRED FIFTY
THREE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ($97,253,200)
($97,553,200) ONE HUNDRED FOUR MILLION SEVEN
HUNDRED THREE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS
