In case of any conflict between [with] the provisions of this
subtitle in regard to jurisdiction JURISDICTIONS and procedure,
and the the provision of Article 26, subtitle "District Court'' [with
Article 52 "Trial Magistrates System] the provisions of said latter
article are to apply.

The Comptroller [State Treasurer] shall reimburse to a defendant
[out of the Motor Vehicle Revenue Fund] any forfeited bond or
collateral which has been received by the Comptroller [State Treas-
urer] after a a District Court Judge [the justice of the peace or trial
magistrate] has stricken out the forfeiture, provided that the defend-
ant is not found guilty FOUND NOT GUILTY of the offense charged.
If the defendant is found guilty of the offense charged, but his fine
is less than the amount of the forfeited bond or collateral, the Comp-
troller [State Treasurer] shall reimburse any amount received by
him which is in excess of the fine.
Sec. 3. Be it further enacted, That Section 12A of Article 5,
Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition, 1968 Replacement Vol-
ume) title "Appeals" subtitle "Appeals to Court of Appeals—Appeals
in Criminal Cases" be and it is hereby repealed.
Sec. 4. Be it further enacted, That Article 20 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition, 1966 Replacement Volume) title
"Constables," including sections 1 through 24, be and it is hereby
repealed in its entirety.
Sec. 5. Be it further enacted, That Sections 109(c)(2), 109(c) (4),
111, 114(b)(l), 117, 120, 127 and 128 of Article 26, Annotated Code
of Maryland (1957 Edition, 1966 Replacement Volume) title "Courts"
subtitle "Municipal Court of Baltimore City" be, and they are hereby
repealed.
Sec. 6. Be it further enacted That the following sections of Article
66˝ of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition, 1970 Replace-
ment Volume) title "Vehicle Laws" subtitles 16 "Parties and Proce-
dure Upon Arrest, Trial, Citation and Appeal" Part II, "Magistrates
Proceedings" and Part III "Appeal from Magistrates. Proceedings,"
17 "Penalties and Disposition of Fines and Forfeitures" and 18
"Records and Reports of Convictions" be and they are each hereby
repealed in their entirety:
