746                                 Laws of Maryland                        [Ch. 354

Administrative Board of Election Laws a Report of Registration
setting forth the following information, as shown on the books of
the respective board as of the date of the commencement of the
SAID six month period: before a primary election in which voters

already registered shall not be allowed to affiliate with a party or

change party affiliation pursuant to Section 3-8 (b) of this article:

(1)  The name of each political party with which one or more
registered voters in their respective county or in the City of Balti-
more are then affiliated; and

(2)   The total number of registered voters affiliated with each
such political party.

(b)  Statement of Registration.Within five days after the receipt
of all Reports of Registration from the several boards, the State
Administrative Board of Election Laws shall determine and issue
a Statement of Registration setting forth, on the basis of the Re-
ports of Registration received from the board for each county and
the City of Baltimore, the following:

(1)   The name of each political party with which one or more
registered voters in the State are affiliated;

(2)  The total number of registered voters affiliated with each
such political party;

(3) The total number of registered voters in the State; and

(4) The percentage of the total number of registered voters in
the State that are affiliated with each such political party, such
percentage to be carried out to two or more decimal places.

The said Statement of Registration shall be retained in the of-
fice of the State Administrative Board of Election Laws for a
period of at least six years and shall be available for inspection
during normal working hours by any interested person.

4-1.

(a) Nominations for offices which are filled by elections under the
provisions of this article may be made by primary election [,
primary meeting,] or petition.

[(b) Nominees of political parties which polled 10% or more of
the entire vote cast in the State in the last preceding general election
shall be nominated by primary election as hereinafter provided.

(c)  Nominees of political parties which polled more than 1% but
less than 10% may be nominated by primary meeting as hereinafter
provided.

(d)  Nominees other than of political parties as provided for in (b)
or (c) above may be nominated by petition as hereinafter provided.]

[(e)] (b) No certificate of nomination shall contain the name of
more than one nominee for each office to be filled.

[(f)] (c) No person shall be a candidate for nomination for more
than one office in any primary or general election.

[(g)] (d) No person shall file as a candidate for more than one
public office at any primary election.
