Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1971.

CHAPTER 332
(House Bill 1027)

AN ACT to add new subsection 2-7(j) to Article 33 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume), title "Election
Code," subtitle "Election Boards and Employees," to follow im-
mediately after subsection 2-7(i) thereof, to provide that judges
of elections shall wear badges on election days which identify
them by name, ward and precinct and political affiliation.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new subsection 2-7(j) be and it is hereby added to Article 33 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume), title
"Election Code," subtitle "Election Boards and Employees," to follow
immediately after subsection 2-7(i) thereof, and to read as follows:

2-7.

(j) IN BALTIMORE CITY On any election day, while perform-
ing their duties as judges, all judges shall wear a badge which shall
be in plain view for all to see and which shall identify the person
as a judge and shall identify him by name and by the ward and pre-
cinct or election district of which he is a judge. The badge shall also
state his political affiliation.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1971.

AN ACT to add new Section 16 18 17-9 to Article 33 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume), title "Election
Code," subtitle "Voting Machines," "BOARD OF CANVASSERS,"
to follow immediately after Section 16 17 17-8 thereof, to provide
that each local board of supervisors of elections shall publish and
sell, at cost, to the general public copies of the general return in
the subdivision for primary and general elections, containing a
break-down of the vote by precinct.
