Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 23 of Article 58A of the Annotated Code of Maryland,
(1957 Edition, 1968 Replacement Volume and 1970 Supplement),
title "Loans—Consumer," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:

23.

Any licensee and any officer or employee of a licensee who shall
knowingly violate the provisions of Sections 16, 17 or 19 of this
Article, and any person, copartnership, association or corporation,
whether licensed under the provisions of this Article or not, which
shall knowingly violate the provisions of Sections 1, 21 or 22 (a) of
this Article, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction
thereof, shall be punishable for each offense by a fine of not more
than five hundred dollars ($500.00), or by imprisonment of not more
than six (6) months, or by both such fine and imprisonment, in the
discretion of the Court.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1971.

CHAPTER 312
(House Bill 625)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 112 of
Article 56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1970 Supplement),
title "Licenses," subtitle "Boxing, Sparring and Wrestling"; and
to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 197 of said
Article and title of said Code, subtitle "Dog Licenses in the
Counties"; and to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
213 (c) of said Article and title of said Code, subtitle "Real Estate
Brokers," to correct certain errors therein.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 112 of Article 56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1970 Supplement), title "Licenses," subtitle "Boxing, Sparring
and Wrestling," be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments; that Section 197 of said Article and title of said
Code, subtitle "Dog Licenses in the Counties," be and the same is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments; and that Section
213 (c) of said Article and title of said Code, subtitle "Real Estate
Brokers," be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:

The Commission shall have, and hereby is vested with, the direc-
tion, management, control of and jurisdiction over all boxing and
sparring and wrestling matches and exhibitions to be conducted,
held or given within the State, by any person, club, corporation or
