"Method of Nomination," to follow immediately after subsection
(g) thereof, to clarify the right of a person to simultaneously be a
candidate for a political party's nomination to a public office and
also a candidate for election to his political party's central commit-
tee AN OFFICE IN HIS POLITICAL PARTY and generally
relating to the election laws AND THE CERTIFICATES OF
CANDIDACY.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new subsections (h) and (i) be and they are hereby added to
Section 4-1 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1967
Replacement Volume and 1969 Supplement), title "Election Code,"
subtitle "Method of Nomination," to follow immediately after sub-
section (g) thereof, and to read as follows:

4-1.

(h) No person shall file as a candidate for more than one party
office at any primary election.

(i) Nothing in this section shall prohibit a person from simul-
taneously being a candidate for a political party's nomination to a
public office and also a candidate for election to his political party's
central committee
AN OFFICE IN HIS POLITICAL PARTY.

(J) EACH CANDIDATE FOR PUBLIC OFFICE UNDER
THIS ARTICLE SHALL ATTEST BY OATH IN WRITING ON
THE CERTIFICATE OF CANDIDACY THAT HE IS NOT A
CANDIDATE FOR ANY OTHER PUBLIC OFFICE.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
on July 1, 1971.

CHAPTER 270
(House Bill 20)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 26-12
of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1967 Replace-
ment Volume and 1970 Supplement), title "Election Code," subtitle
"Fair Election Practices," to provide the forms for the reports or
statements of expenditures and contributions to be filed by treas-
urers, and generally relating to the election laws.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 26-12 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1967 Replacement Volume and 1970 Supplement), title "Election
Code," subtitle "Fair Election Practices," be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

26-12.

The following [is] are the [form] forms of the report or state-
ment of expenditures and contributions required by this subtitle to
be filed:
