thirty (30) days' written notice from the Department of Health
that compliance has not been made with the requirements of this
[subsection] section proceed with and complete the necessary plan
and work so that the said sewage disposal plant will conform to the
standards herein stated.

758.

There shall be included annually in the operating budget of the
Department of Natural Resources a general fund appropriation suffi-
cient to provide engineering, technical, and administrative services
required to implement Sections 756 and 757 of this article, including
but not limited to the review and evaluation of requests for assist-
ance in shore erosion control, the design of shore erosion control
structures and projects, supervision of construction of approved
projects, and inspection of completed projects to insure adequate
maintenance. Costs of the services enumerated in this [subsection]
section shall not be considered a part of the construction cost of the
project, and shall be borne solely by the State.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1971.

CHAPTER 258
(Senate Bill 767)

AN ACT to waive the provisions of Section 10 of Chapter 409 of
the Acts of 1969, this section relating to the time by which projects
contained in the General Construction Loan of 1969 must be placed
under contract, insofar as the provisions of this section relate to
the following items in the General Construction Loan of 1969;
Section 5 (H) (4) (b) Installation of Second Feeder Line and Auto-
matic Switching, Pine Bluff State Hospital and Section 5 (J) (3)
Renovation of Wilson Cottage, Montrose School for Girls; to extend
for two years, the period during which these items may be placed
under contract.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the provisions of Section 10 of Chapter 409 of the Acts of 1969,
be and they are hereby waived insofar as they impose a time limit
for placing under contract the following items contained in the Gen-
eral Construction Loan Act of 1969; Section 5 (H) (4) (b) of Chap-
ter 409 and found on page 1000 of the Laws of 1969, making avail-
able the sum of fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000) for installation
of second feeder line and automatic switching; and Section 5 (J) (3)
of Chapter 409 and found on page 1006 of the Laws of 1969, making
available the sum of sixty-one thousand and four hundred dollars
($61,400) for the renovation of Wilson Cottage, Montrose School for
Girls. There shall be allowed an additional period of two years,
beginning on the effective date of this Act, for placing this project
under contract. If this project shall not have been placed under con-
