378 Laws of Maryland [Ch. 122
Section 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 120(a) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1968 Replacement Volume), title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle
"Restrictions Upon Licensees," be and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
120.
(a) In Allegany County it shall be unlawful for any [liquor]
licensee under this article [to employ any person under the age of
twenty-one years and for any other class of licensee] to employ any
person under the age of eighteen years [in the sale of] to sell or serve
alcoholic beverages [or in connection with the business thereof.]
as a matter of employment, but that person may prepare food, serve
food, be a musician, entertain, or act as a general help in the business.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1971.

CHAPTER 122
(House Bill 116)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 162A of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Allegany County (1963 Edition
and 1967 Supplement, being Article 1 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Allegany County," subtitle "Fire Com-
panies," as last amended by Chapter 81 of the Acts of 1966, to
specifically mention that South Cumberland Water Safety and Res-
cue Squad and the LaVale Volunteer Rescue Squad are possible
recipients of up to five hundred dollars ($500) from the County
Commissioners for providing full time ambulance service, and to
clarify the language therein.

County (1963 Edition and 1967 Supplement, being Article 1 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Allegany County,"
subtitle "Fire Companies," as last amended by Chapter 81 of the
Acts of 1966, be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, as follows:
162A.
In addition to the [amounts] amount provided in [Sections]
Section 160 [and 162] to be paid to the several volunteer fire com-
panies of the County, the County Commissioners may pay an extra
sum not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500.00) to those companies
providing a full time ambulance service and to the South Cumberland
Water Safety and Rescue Squad and the LaVale Volunteer Rescue
Squad.
