AN ACT to legalize the Washington Suburban Sanitary District
Code, being the statutes relating to the Washington Suburban
Sanitary District set forth in Articles 16 and 17, respectively, of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, titled, respectively,
"Montgomery County" and "Prince George's County," both sub-
titled "Washington Suburban Sanitary District," and making the
Code evidence of the law.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the Washington Suburban Sanitary District Code, 1969 Edition,
with the 1970 Supplement, published under the direction of the
Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission by the Michie City
Publications Company, Incorporated, containing the public local laws
of the Washington Suburban Sanitary District as set forth in Articles
16 and 17, respectively, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
titled, respectively, "Montgomery County" and "Prince George's
County" both subtitled "Washington Suburban Sanitary District,"
is legalized. The Code shall contain all public local laws of the subtitle
"Washington Suburban Sanitary District" which have been enacted
and which are still in force, and all such public local laws which are
enacted following the 1971 regular session of the General Assembly of
Maryland. The Code shall be deemed and taken in all courts of the
State, by the justices of the peace and trial magistrates of the State,
and by all other public officials of the State and of its several political
subdivisions, to be evidence of those public local laws in effect at the
time of compilation of the Code or any supplement thereto.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That any supplement to the
Washington Suburban Sanitary District Code, subsequent to the 1970
Supplement, is similarly legalized and effective to contain any
changes in Articles 16 and 17, respectively, of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland, titled, respectively, "Montgomery County"
and "Prince George's County," both subtitled "Washington Suburban
Sanitary District," which are enacted.
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1971.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 9(c) of
Article 23A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1966 Replace-
ment Volume), title "Corporations—Municipal," subtitle "Home
Rule," concerning the powers of annexation of municipal corpora-
tions subject to the provisions of Article 11E of the Constitution
of Maryland, to provide that a municipal corporation having plan-
ning and zoning authority shall assume exclusive jurisdiction over
