CHAPTER 113
(House Bill 77)

AN ACT to repeal Section 83-97 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Prince George's County (1963 Edition), being also Section 71-46
of the Montgomery County Code (1965 Edition), being Articles
17 and 16, respectively, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land, title "Prince George's County" and "Montgomery County,"
subtitle "Washington Suburban Sanitary District," relating to
refuse collection and disposal systems within the Washington
Suburban Sanitary District.

Whereas, by Section 17 of Chapter 122 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of 1918 the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission
was given certain authority and duties with respect to the institu-
tion, maintenance and operation of refuse collection and disposal
systems within the Washington Suburban Sanitary District and the
Commission did maintain and operate such a system within both the
Montgomery County and the Prince George's County portions of the
Washington Suburban Sanitary District, but such systems have since
been terminated and refuse collection and disposal systems have
been instituted by the County Council for Montgomery County with
respect to that County portion of the Sanitary District and by the
County Council for Prince George's County with respect to the
Prince George's County portion of the District, and the aforesaid
section of Chapter 122 of the Acts of 1918 being no longer necessary,
repeal thereof is appropriate.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 83-97 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince
George's County (1963 Edition), being also Section 71-46 of the
Montgomery County Code (1965 Edition), being Articles 17 and 16,
respectively, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title
"Prince George's County" and "Montgomery County," subtitle
"Washington Suburban Sanitary District," be and it is hereby
repealed.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1971.

AN ACT repealing and re-enacting, with amendments, subsection
(d) of Section 83-71 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince
George's County (1963 Edition), being also subsection (d) of Sec-
tion 71-19 of the Montgomery County Code (1965 Edition), being
Articles 17 and 16, respectively, of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland, titled "Prince George's County" and "Montgomery
County," both subtitled "Washington Suburban Sanitary Dis-
trict," as said subsection was last repealed and re-enacted, with
