(Senate Bill 420)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 11-101
of Article 66½ of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1970 Replace-
ment Volume), title "Vehicle Laws," subtitle "Rules of the Road,"
amending the laws concerning the operation of motor vehicles on
certain private property in order to provide that the law apply in
Wicomico County CERTAIN COUNTIES.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 11-101 of Article 66½ of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1970 Replacement Volume), title "Vehicle Laws," subtitle
"Rules of the Road," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
11-101.
The provisions of this subtitle relating to the operation of vehicles
refer exclusively to the operation of vehicles upon highways except:
(1) Where a different place is specifically referred to in a given
section; and
(2) The provisions of Part IX of this subtitle and Subtitle 10
shall apply upon highways and elsewhere throughout the State.
(3) In Allegany, Anne Arundel, Baltimore, CALVERT, Carroll,
Cecil, Charles, Frederick, HARFORD, Howard, KENT, Prince
George's, ST. MARY'S, Talbot [and] , Washington, and Wicomico
counties any person operating a motor vehicle on private property
which is used by the public in general in violation of the provisions
of this subtitle shall be deemed in violation of the law to the same
extent as if the motor vehicle were being operated on a public high-
way and the violation carries the same penalty.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1971.

CHAPTER 86
(Senate Bill 427)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 368 of
Article 48A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1968 Replace-
ment Volume), title "Insurance Code," subtitle "Insurance Con-
tracts Generally," to provide that a change of interest on the death
of the insured shall not avoid an insurance of property, and the
insurance shall pass to the person taking the interest of the de-
ceased or interest similar to that of the deceased in the thing
insured. AT THE DEATH OF THE INSURED.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 368 of Article 48A of the Annotated Code of Maryland
