Anne Arundel County                             2541

(1)    The Maryland Department of Natural Resources, the Soil Con-
servation Service and the
Anne Arundel County Department of Public
Works shall approve uses in the Natural Drainage System.

(2)    The Anne Arundel County Health Department and the Anne
Arundel County Department of Parks and Recreation shall approve rec-
reational uses.

(e) Structures in OS-Open Space Districts shall not obstruct the free
flow of water, and shall be firmly anchored to prevent floating away or
the blockage of openings in restricted sections of the water course below.

Section 13-318.1—Uses Permitted

The following uses shall be permitted in OS-Open Space Districts:

(1)    Conservation of water plants and wildlife.

(2)    Drainage programs for flood control by an authorized public
agency.

(3)    Driveway for access and circulation.

(4)    Farming (including truck gardening and harvesting of crops)
provided such use does not change the ecology and stability of the land.
Such uses shall not be permitted within the Natural Drainage System.

Grazing of livestock not requiring clearing of any natural vege-
tation.

(6)    Non-residential structures (including barns, stables, or kennels)
for the shelter, breeding, boarding, hiring or sale of animals and for
storage of crops raised on premises. Such uses shall not be permitted
within the Natural Drainage System.

(7)    Temporary recreational structures for boating, community swim-
ming, fishing and hunting (where legally permitted), golf courses, ice
skating, nature study, picnic areas and shelters, play areas and fields, and
stables.

(8)    Permanent recreational structures for the uses listed in sub-
section (7) hereof, provided such structures are not located within the
Natural Drainage System.

(9)    Public RECREATIONAL structures (including boat houses,
duck blinds and landings), and renting of rowboats, canoes and recrea-
tion equipment
.

(10)    RENTING OF ROWBOATS, CANOES AND RECREA-
TIONAL EQUIPMENT BY A PUBLIC AGENCY.

(11)    Temporary stands for sale of produce raised on the premises.
Section 13-318.2—Special Exceptions

The following uses shall be permitted in OS-Open Space Districts as
special exceptions:

(1)    All uses within the fifty (50) year floodplain.

(2)    Power transmission lines 69 KV voltage and above PUBLIC
UTILITIES AND USES.
