Havre De Grace                                  2125

December 16th, 1970, unless a proper petition for a referendum hereon
shall be filed, as permitted by law, provided a clear and exact copy of this
Resolution shall be continuously posted at a conspicuous place in the main
lobby on the first floor in the City Hall until December 6th, 1970, and
provided further that a copy of the title of this Resolution shall be published
in "The Morning Herald" and "The Daily Mail," two newspapers of
general circulation of the City of Hagerstown, once in each of the weeks of
November 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd, 1970.

Section 3. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor is
hereby specifically enjoined to carry out the provisions of Section 2 hereof
and, as evidence of said compliance, the Mayor shall cause to be affixed to
the minutes of this meeting appropriate certificates of publication of the
newspapers in which the title of this Resolution shall have been published
and shall declare the Charter amendment hereby enacted to be effective by
affixing his signature hereto in the space provided on the effective date
thereof.

Section 4. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that as soon as
the Charter Amendment hereby enacted shall become effective, either as
herein provided or following a referendum, the Mayor shall send separately
by registered mail to the Secretary of State of Maryland and to the Depart-
ment of Legislative Reference of Maryland a clear certified copy of the full
text of said Section 26 of Article III of the Charter of the City of Hagers-
town as amended, a certified copy of this Resolution showing the number
of Councilmen voting for or against it, and a report on the votes cast for
or against the amendment hereby enacted at any referendum thereon and
the date of such referendum.

The Charter Amendment enacted by the foregoing Resolution became
effective this 16th day of December 1970.

Resolution No. 103

A Resolution by the Mayor and City Council of Havre de Grace
adopted pursuant to the authority of Article HE of the Constitution
of Maryland, and the provisions of Article 23A of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1957 Edition and amendments thereto), title "Corpora-
tions—Municipal," to amend the Charter of the City of Havre de
Grace by adding a new Section 268D to the Code of Public Local
Laws of Harford County (1965 Edition and amendments thereto),
being Article 13 of the Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Har-
ford County," subtitle "Havre de Grace," enlarging the boundaries of
the city of Havre de Grace.

Section 1. BE IT RESOLVED, ORDAINED AND ENACTED by the
Mayor and City Council of Havre de Grace that Section 268D is hereby
added to the Code of Public Local Laws of Harford County (1965 Edition
and Amendments Thereto), being Article 13 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, title "Harford County," subtitle "Havre de Grace," to
read as follows:
