Easton                                         2073

ALL that tract of land adjoining the easterly boundary of the Town
of Easton containing 5.549 acres according to a survey made by James R.
Kinnamon and bounded on the South by First Lane in North Clifton, on
the West by the property of Easton Motels, Inc., on the North by Dover
Road and other property of the Petitioners and on the East by other prop-
erty of the Petitioners.

Said proposed annexation being more particularly shown as "Pro-
posed Annexation 1969 (North Clifton)" upon a map made by James R.
Kinnamon.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT a public hearing be held
by this body, with respect to said proposed annexation, such hearing to be
held in the office of the Mayor and Council of Easton, at 8:00 o'clock p.m.
on Monday, March 16, 1970; provided that public notice of such hearing
shall first be given pursuant to the provisions of Section 19(d) of said
Article 23A.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT in the event this Reso-
lution shall be finally enacted following said public hearing, then this
Resolution and the annexation hereby proposed, shall become fully effec-
tive forty-five days following such final enactment. 4-30-70

Proposed Resolution—Airport Annexation

Whereas, a petition for annexation of land adjacent and contiguous
to part of the existing easterly corporate boundary of the Town of Easton
has been filed by J. Ferdinand Freeland and Minerva A. Freeland, pur-
suant to Section 19, Article 23A, Annotated Code of Maryland (1957):
and,

Whereas, the Town Council of Easton has verified that the area pro-
posed to be annexed pursuant to said petition is in fact contiguous and
adjacent to the existing corporate area; that no persons as defined in Sec-
tion 19, Article 23A, Annotated Code of Maryland (1966 Repl. Vol.), re-
side in the area to be annexed; and that the Petitioners are the owners of
over twenty-five per cent cent of the assessed valuation of the real prop-
erty located in said area to be annexed:
