(1) said Resolution was adopted by The Commissioners of Denton
at its regular meeting held on March 2, 1970, by a vote of 5 to 0;
(2) said Resolution was duly and properly posted and published;
(3) copies thereof, together with this Certificate, were this day sent
by registered mail to both the Secretary of the State of Maryland and the
Department of Legislative Reference; and
(4) the amendment of the Charter of The Commissioners of Denton
enacted by said Resolution became and is hereby declared to have become
effective this 4th day of May, 1970, and now constitutes Amendment No. 3
thereto.

Resolution No. 33
of the Town of Easton to amend the Charter
Resolution of the Town of Easton, adopted pursuant to the author-
ity of Article 11-E of the Constitution of Maryland, and Section 13 of
Article 23-A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1955 Supp.), title
"Corporations—Municipal," subtitle "Home Rule," subheading "Char-
ter Amendments," to amend Section 2(a) of Article IV of the Charter
of the Town of Easton, to provide that the Easton Utilities Commis-
sion, in addition to its other powers, shall operate, manage and main-
tain a CATV, being also known as "Community Antenna TV or
Cable TV" system, and to amend Section 2(f) of said Article IV to
provide, that when required, rates shall also be approved by the Fed-
eral Communications Commission.
Section 1. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN OF EASTON, that
Article IV, Sec. 2(a) and Sec. 2(f) of the Charter of the Town of Easton,
revised in 1967, is amended to read as follows:
(a) The Commission shall operate, manage and maintain the
municipal sewerage, water, electric, gas, CATV, being also known as Com-
munity Antenna TV or Cable TV Systems, and all or any other revenue
producing utilities which are now owned or may be hereafter constructed
or acquired by the Town.
(f) The commission shall have power to sell the products and serv-
ices of the several utilities, as well as any appliances relating thereto,
which are under its control and to fix and revise rates therefor, which shall
become effective upon approval by the council and when required by the
Maryland Public Service Commission and the Federal Communications
Commission, provided, that the Easton Utilities Commission shall give at
least fifteen days previous notice by publication in one or more newspapers
published in the town of the proposed revision of rates and grant such
hearings, when practicable, as may be desired by the citizens of the town.
