1970, CHAPTER 570—Charles County Middle School Bonds
State Administrative Board of Election Laws
Annapolis, Maryland
Pursuant to the direction contained in Section 23-11 of Article 33
of the Annotated Code of Maryland, the State Administrative Board of
Election Laws, does hereby certify that at the General Election held in
the State of Maryland on November 3, 1970, an Act known as Chapter
570 of the Acts of 1970 was submitted to the voters of Charles County
under the provisions of Chapter 570 of the Acts of 1970, said Act being
as follows:
AN ACT to authorize and empower the County Commissioners of
Charles County to borrow in their discretion upon the faith and
credit of said County an amount or amounts not exceeding two
and one-half million dollars ($2,500,000.00), and to issue bonds
therefore, for the construction, alteration, remodeling and
equipping of THE MIDDLE SCHOOL IN WALDORF, Charles
County; and providing for the levy of taxes in Charles County
for the payment of principal and interest on such bonds; AND
SUBMITTING THIS ACT TO A REFERENDUM OF THE
QUALIFIED VOTERS OF CHARLES COUNTY.
and it is hereby certified, that at said election 4,254 votes were
cast in favor of the adoption of Chapter 570 of the Acts of 1970 and
2,550 votes were cast against the adoption of said Chapter 570 of the
Acts of 1970, the Act has therefore been ratified by the qualified voters
of Charles County.

tive Board of Election Laws of the State of Maryland,
Done at the City of Annapolis, this 30th day of
November, in the Year of Our Lord, One Thousand,
Nine Hundred and Seventy.
