1969, CHAPTER 140—Charles County School Bonds
State Administrative Board of Election Laws
Annapolis, Maryland
Pursuant to the Provisions contained in Section 23-11 of Article
33, of the Annotated Code of Maryland, the State Administrative
Board of Election Laws, does hereby certify, that at the General Elec-
tion held in the State of Maryland on November 3, 1970, an Act
known as Chapter 140 of the Acts of 1969, was submitted to the
voters of Charles County under the provisions of Article XVI of the
Constitution of the State of Maryland, said Act being as follows:
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 2 of
Chapter 238 of the 1966 Laws of Maryland, as amended by
Chapter 52 of the 1968 Laws of Maryland, providing for an
increase in the rate of interest for the bonds that are issued
for school construction in Charles County.
and it is hereby certified that at said election, 4,770 votes were
cast for the adoption of said Chapter 140 and 2,512 votes were cast
against the adoption of said Chapter 140, the said Chapter 140 of the
Acts of 1969 has therefore been ratified by the qualified voters of
Charles County, Maryland.
