1969, CHAPTER 785—Membership of General Assembly
State Administrative Board of Election Laws
Annapolis, Maryland
Pursuant to the provisions contained in Section 23-11 of Article
33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, the State Administrative
Board of Election Laws does hereby certify that at the General Elec-
tion held in the State of Maryland on November 3, 1970, an Act
known as Chapter 785 of the Acts of 1969 was submitted to the voters
of the State of Maryland under the provisions of Article XIV of the
Constitution of the State of Maryland said Act being as follows:
AN ACT to propose amendments to Article III of the Constitu-
tion of Maryland, title "Legislative Department," by repealing
Sections 2, 4, 5 and 6 thereof and enacting new Sections 2, 4, 5,
and 6, to stand in place of the sections so repealed and by
adding new Section 3 to follow immediately after Section 2
thereof, establishing the membership of the General Assembly;
providing for the creation of legislative district; providing
for the election of members to the General Assembly and re-
lating generally to the General Assembly of Maryland; and
providing for the submission of this amendment to the quali-
fied voters of the State of Maryland for their adoption or
rejection.
and it is hereby certified that at said election 326,951 votes
were cast for the adoption of said Chapter 785 and 183,435 votes
were cast against the adoption of said Chapter 785, the said Chapter
785 of the Acts of 1969 has therefore been ratified by the qualified
voters of the State of Maryland.

Done at the City of Annapolis, this 30th day of
November, in the Year of Our Lord, One Thousand,
Nine Hundred and Seventy.
