Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1971, and shall apply to all distributions or transfers made
on or after July 1, 1971.

CHAPTER 720
(House Bill 773)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 38(a)
(2), (3), (4) and to renumber Sections (4), (5), (6), (7) and to
repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 117(b) (2) of Article
2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1968 Replacement Vol-
ume and 1970 Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle
"Local Licenses and License Provisions" and "Restrictions Upon
Licensees" respectively, relating generally to the restrictions on
the handling of alcoholic beverages and the presence of persons
under age 21 in licensed establishments.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 38 (a) (2), (3), (4) be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, and Sections (4), (5), (6), and (7)
are hereby renumbered, and also Section 117(b)(2) of Article 2B
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1968 Replacement Volume
and 1970 Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle "Local
Licenses and License Provisions" and "Restrictions Upon Licensees,"
respectively, be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:

38.

(a) [(2) In Prince George's County it shall be unlawful for any
person under the age of twenty-one years, between the hours of
10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., to enter or to remain upon any portion
of the premises of a holder of a Class B, beer, wine, and liquor
license wherein the privileges conferred by such license are exer-
cised, unless such person is in the immediate company of at least
one of his parents, or of his legal guardian, or spouse.

(3) In Prince George's County it shall be unlawful for any per-
son under the age of twenty-one years except for the purpose of
obtaining or consuming food, and for any person under the age
of eighteen years for any purpose, between the hours of 10:00 p.m.
and 6:00 a.m., to enter or to remain upon any portion of the
premises of the holder of any Class B or Class D beer, or beer and
light wine license where the privileges conferred by such license
are exercised, unless such person is in the immediate company of
at least one of his parents, or of his legal guardian, or spouse.]

(2) In Prince George's County it shall be unlawful for any per-
son under the age of eighteen years for any purpose, between the
hours of 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., to enter or to remain upon any
portion of the premises of the holder of any Class B or Class D
