visions," to follow immediately after subsection (j) thereof;
and to add new subsection (h) to Section 41 of Article 2B of
said Code (1968 Replacement Volume), title "Alcoholic Beverages,"
subtitle "General Provisions of Issue of Licenses," to follow
immediately after subsection (g) thereof, to establish a new
license in Anne Arundel County covering "on sales" of beer,
wine and liquor at motel-restaurant and hotel-restaurant com-
plexes, setting out the conditions and cost thereof, exempting
the holder from the provisions on special Sunday licenses, sub-
jecting the holder to all laws, rules and regulations not incon-
sistent with this subsection and exempting the holder from the
provision forbidding no more than one license per person or
premise.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new subsection (k) be and it is hereby added to Section 28
of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1970 Supplement),
title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle "Local Licenses and License
Provisions," to follow immediately after subsection (j) thereof;
and that new subsection (h) be and it is hereby added to Section 41
of Article 2B of said Code (1968 Replacement Volume), title
"Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle "General Provisions on Issue of
Licenses," to follow immediately after subsection (g) thereof, and
all to read as follows:

28.

(k) In Anne Arundel County the Board of License Commission-
ers is authorized to approve the issue of a license, to be known as a
motel-restaurant complex or hotel-restaurant complex license, cover-
ing "on sales" of beer, wine and liquor to any person, with-
out further residential, voting or locative qualifications BEING
REQUIRED OF THE APPLICANT, for the sale of any and
all alcoholic beverages within the confines of the motel-restaurant
complex or hotel-restaurant complex. These licenses will be issued
only to the person, firm, or corporation owning or leasing motel-
restaurant complexes or hotel-restaurant complexes that have a cap-
ital investment of not less than Five Hundred Thousand Dollars
($500,000.00), One Hundred (100) rooms or more, and an enclosed
dining room which serves full-course meals from menus at least
twice daily.

The cost for this license for each separate establishment is Twenty-
five Hundred Dollars ($2,500.00) each year, to be paid the first of
May, payable to the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel
County and entitles the holder to sell at one or more locations within
the hotel-restaurant or motel-restaurant complex on each and every
day and permits playing of music and dancing and no provision con-
tained in subsection (a) of this section relating to special Sunday
licenses applies to the holder of a license issued under the provisions
of this subsection.

The licenses and the licensees hereunder are subject to all laws,
rules and regulations applicable in Anne Arundel County to the sale
of alcoholic beverages, not inconsistent with the provisions of this
subsection. This license permits the sale at bars or counters, but not
for consumption off the premises.
