Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the provisions of Section 10 of Chapter 759 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of 1967, and Chapter 409 of the Acts of the Gen-
eral Assembly of 1969, be and they are hereby waived, insofar as
they impose a time for placing under contract the items in Section
5 (E) (5) (b) in Chapter 759 of the Acts of 1967, making available
two hundred and sixty thousand dollars ($260,000) for construc-
tion of a dam and the State's share of cost for a new bridge on Long
Draft Road in Seneca Creek State Park, and in Section 5 (G) (18)
(b) in Chapter 409 of the Acts of 1969, making available three hun-
dred and thirty-eight thousand dollars ($338,000) for construction
of a dam and the State's share of cost for a new bridge on Long
Draft Road in Seneca Creek State Park. With the waiver of these
provisions so applied to these items, there shall be allowed an addi-
tional period of two years, beginning on the effective date of this
Act, for placing these projects under contract. If these projects
shall not have been placed under contract within a period of two
years, beginning on the effective date of this Act, then it shall be
deemed to have been abandoned and the other provisions of Section
10 of Chapter 759 of the Acts of 1967 and Chapter 409 of the Acts
of 1969 shall be fully effective as to these projects.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1971.

CHAPTER 570
(House Bill 914)

AN ACT to modify the provisions of Section 10 of Chapter 409 of
the Acts of 1969, said Section relating to the time within which
projects contained in the General Construction Loan of 1969 must
be placed under contract, to the extent that the provisions of
said Section relate to an item contained in said Act to provide
funds in the amount of $5,000,000 for the construction of a
Wholesale Fresh Produce Market and completing preparation of
the 398 acre site, all as more specifically described in Section 5 (A)
(12) of said Act, and to extend for a period of an additional two
years from the effective date of said Act the period within which
said project may be placed under contract.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 10 of Chapter 409 of the Acts of 1969 be and it is
hereby modified to the extent that the time within which contracts
shall be let for that certain project represented by an appropriation
in the amount of $5,000,000 "To provide funds for the construction
of a Wholesale Fresh Produce Market, consisting of a series of
buildings and supporting facilities, and completing preparation of
the 398 acre site, including grading, drainage, installation of streets,
water and sewer facilities, railroad trackage, etc....... ," desig-
nated as Section 5 (A) (12) as shown on pages 993 and 994 of
said Act, is hereby extended from two (2) to four (4) years from
