cause to be published and made public the reasons for such objec-
tion and shall afford all interested parties an opportunity to be
heard. At the conclusion of such hearing, the Department shall pub-
lish and make public its decision, which shall be final. An appeal
from a designation made pursuant to this section shall not stay
the effect of such designation.

(d) The Department shall update and republish a schedule on
a semi-annual basis for two years from the effective date of this
Act, and thereafter on an annual basis.

279. Schedules of Controlled Dangerous Substances:

The following Schedules include the controlled dangerous sub-
stances listed or to be listed by whatever official name, common or
usual name, chemical name, or trade name designated.

(a) Schedule IIn determining that a substance comes within
this Schedule, the Department shall find:

(1)  a high potential for abuse, and

(2)  no accepted medical use in the United States, and

(3)  a lack of accepted safety for use under medical supervision.

The following are controlled dangerous substances and are included
in this Schedule:

a. Any of the following substances, including their isomers, esters,
ethers, salts, and salts of isomers, esters, and ethers, unless speci-
fically excepted, whenever the existence of such isomers, esters,
ethers and salts is possible within the specific chemical designation:

1.  Acetylmethadol.

2.  Allylprodine.

8. Alphameprodine.

4.  Alphacetylmethadol.

5.  Alphamethadol.

6.  Benzethidine.

7.  Betacetylmethadol.

8.  Betameprodine.

9.  Betamethadol.

10.  Betaprodine.                                                                       

11.  Clonitazene.

12.  Dextromoramide.

13.  Dextrorphan.
14. Diampromide.

15.  Diethyliambutene.

16.  Dimenoxadol.
