Municipal Court of Baltimore City and People's Court of Anne
Arundel County shall have jurisdiction to try persons charged with
violating this section, provided that persons so convicted in the
Municipal Court or People's Court shall not be sentenced to the
penitentiary by that court.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That all laws or parts of laws,
public general or public local, inconsistent with the provisions of this
Act, are hereby repealed to the extent of any such inconsistency.
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.

CHAPTER 390
(House Bill 1450)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 2-108(d)
of Article 93 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1969 Replace-
ment Volume), title "Decedents' Estates," subtitle "The Court,"
subheading "The Probate Court," to change the salaries of the
judges of the Orphans' Court of Baltimore County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 2-108(d) of Article 93 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1969 Replacement Volume), title "Decedents' Estates," sub-
title "The Court," subheading "The Probate Court," be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
2-108.
(d) The salary of the judges of the court for Baltimore County
shall be [six thousand dollars ($6,000)] eight thousand dollars
($8,000) per annum; and the chief judge shall receive an additional
five hundred dollars ($500) per annum.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the provisions of this Act
shall not be construed to extend or apply to the salary of said judges
in office on the effective date of this Act, but the provisions of this
Act concerning them shall take effect at the beginning of the next
following term of office.
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.
