(House Bill 1442)

AN ACT to add new Section 39A to Article 87 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1969 Replacement Volume), title "Sheriffs,"
subtitle "Compensation and Duties," to follow immediately after
Section 39 thereof, to authorize the Sheriffs of this State to em-
ploy in their discretion auctioneers to conduct sales of realty or
personalty, and to authorize the Sheriffs to charge the cost thereof
to the debtor.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 39A be and it is hereby added to Article 87 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1969 Replacement Volume), title
"Sheriffs," subtitle "Compensation and Duties," to follow immedi-
ately after Section 39 thereof, and to read as follows:
