land (1968 Replacement Volume), title "Alcoholic Beverages," sub-
title "Boards of License Commissioners," be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
158.
(h) In Kent County, notwithstanding Sections 69 and 70 of
this article, the board of license commissioners shall have the power
to suspend any alcoholic beverage license for any violation of this
article for not less than 15 nor more than 90 days. An appeal shall
not stay the order of the board suspending a license. The board
shall hear and determine cases within [ten] thirty days of report
of violation by liquor inspector or other law enforcement officer.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.

(House Bill 943)
AN ACT to repeal Section 51(t) of Article 25 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1966 Replacement Volume), title "County
Commissioners," subtitle "County Treasurers," and to enact new
Section 51(t) in lieu thereof, to stand in place of the section re-
pealed, to increase the salary of the county treasurer of Kent
County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 51(t) of Article 25 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1966 Replacement Volume), title "County Commissioners,"
subtitle "County Treasurers," be and it is hereby repealed; and
that new Section 51(t) of said Article, title and subtitle be and
it is hereby added, to stand in the place of the section repealed
and to read as follows :
51.
(t) [The county treasurer of Kent County shall receive an an-
nual salary of $3,600.00. From and after June 1, 1963, and up to
and including December 31, 1965, the county treasurer of Kent
County shall receive $1,400.00 per annum for expenses which shall
be payable in equal monthly installments. From and after January
1, 1966, the county treasurer of Kent County shall receive an an-
nual salary of $5,000.00 which shall be his sole compensation for
services performed by him as county treasurer.]
The county treasurer of Kent County shall receive an annual
salary of $5,000.00. The County Commissioners may supplement his
salary in an amount not to exceed $2,000.00. From and after the
term of office following the November, 1970 election, he shall re-
ceive an annual salary of $7,000.00. which shall be his sole com-
pensation for services performed by him as county treasurer.
