CHAPTER 347

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 18 (c)
of Article 57 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1969 Supple-
ment), title "Limitations of Actions," to specifically include Balti-
more City among those subdivisions against which certain claims
must be presented in a specified manner within ninety (90) days.
REQUIRING A TIMELY NOTIFICATION OF INTENTION TO
MAKE CERTAIN CLAIMS IN A MANNER SET FORTH IN
SECTION 18.
Whereas, there has been considerable confusion as to whether
Baltimore City is presently included among the subdivisions desig-
nated in Section 18(c) of Article 57 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1969 Supplement) and to clarify the matter; now, therefore,
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 18 (c) of Article 57 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1969 Supplement), title "Limitations of Actions," be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
(c) in any municipal corporation and Baltimore City and in the
following counties: Anne Arundel, CALVERT, Caroline, Cecil, Fred-
erick and St. Mary's, the time within which NOTIFICATION OF
INTENTION TO MAKE such claim must be presented is ninety
(90) days. IN BALTIMORE CITY NOTIFICATION OF INTEN-
TION TO MAKE A CLAIM MUST BE PRESENTED WITHIN
180 DAYS.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.

AN ACT to add new Section 58 to Article 77A of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1969 Replacement Volume), title "Higher Edu-
cation," subtitle "Scholarships," to follow immediately after Sec-
tion 57 thereof, to provide for disclosure of grades of scholarship
students to their sponsors by state institutions.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 58 be and it is hereby added to Article 77A of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1969 Replacement Volume), title
"Higher Education," subtitle "Scholarships," to follow immediately
after Section 57 thereof, and to read as follows:

Any state college or university or institution which receives
financial aid from the State of Maryland shall, upon request, OF
