from proceeds of prior payments, and that he will make timely
payments from the proceeds of the progress or final payment
then due him, to his subcontractors and suppliers in accordance
with his contractual arrangements with them.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 499 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Washington County (1957 Edi-
tion, being Article 22 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land), title "Washington County," subtitle "Orphans' Court," re-
moving from the local laws of Washington County an obsolete and
inapplicable provision for the per diem compensation of Judges
of the Orphans' Court.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 499 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Washington
County (1957 Edition, being Article 22 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Washington County," subtitle "Orphans'
Court," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:
499.
The sessions of the Orphans' Court of Washington County shall
be held on Tuesday and Friday of each week, from 10 o'clock A.M.
until 3 o'clock P.M., and on such other days as in the judgment of the
Court the public business and convenience requires [; and the said
Judges of the Orphans' Court of Washington County shall each re-
ceive the sum of Seven Dollars and Fifty Cents ($7.50) for each
day's attendance upon the sessions of said Court].
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.
