the case of the administrative head of any State department or
agency whose duties require that he travel extensively throughout
the State, the Board of Public Works may authorize the expenditure
for a passenger vehicle in an amount greater than $2,200 and the
Board of Public Works may also authorize the class of passenger
vehicle which may be purchased.

Sec. 5. And be it further enacted, That it is the intention that the
appropriations contained in this bill for the State Office Buildings in
Annapolis and Baltimore are to be supplemented by transfers from
the budgets of the various agencies and departments occupying the
buildings for such expenses as may not be adequately provided for
within the respective budgets for the operation and maintenance of
these buildings. The above transfers, if necessary, are to be effected
by the budget amendment.

SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET—FISCAL YEAR 1971

AMENDMENTS TO SENATE BILL NO. 146 AND/OR

HOUSE BILL NO. 279

Amendment No. 1

On page 45 of the printed bill, under the heading "State Department
of Health—Community Health Services" and under the program "General
Local Health Services", strike the words "Shoreline Survey" from the last
paragraph and insert in its place "Rubella Immunization".

Amendment No. 2

On page 95 of the printed bill, in line 3 of Section 4, immediately after
the first comma, insert the following :

"Law Enforcement Personnel,".

Amendment No. 3

On page 94 of the printed bill, under the heading "Department of
Maryland State Police" and under the subheading "Contingent Appro-
priation", strike out the entire program entitled "07.05.01.13 Revision in
Matching Formula" including the numerals "5,785,277".

Amendment No. 4

On page 91 of the printed bill, under the heading "Towson State
College" and under the program "Graduate Program" and in the line en-
titled "General Fund Appropriation", strike out the numerals "74,685"
and insert in lieu thereof the numerals "224,685" "221,462" and in the line
entitled "Special Fund Appropriation", strike out the numerals "674,291"
and insert in lieu thereof the numerals "524,291".

On page 91 of the printed bill, under the heading "Summary" and in
the line entitled "Total General Fund Appropriation", strike out the
numerals "7,072,486" and insert in lieu thereof the numerals "7,222,486"
"7,172,452" and in the line entitled "Total Special Fund Appropriation",
strike out the numerals "4,360,469" and insert in lieu thereof the numerals
"4,210,469". "4,206,501".
