committee members required to be elected under Sec. 2-83(a) shall be
first elected in September 1969. In 1970 and thereafter, regular elections
will be held in June as provided.
Section 4. Subsections (d) and (f) of Sec. 1 shall not apply to the
City of Takoma Park, Maryland.
Section 5. Effective Date. This Act shall take effect on the 76th day
following its enactment.

An Act to repeal and reenact, with amendments, Article II of
Chapter 83, title "Electrical Contractor's License," Montgomery
County Code 1965, to define certain terms, including two classes of
licensees, being an "Electrical Contractor" and "Electrical Contractor
Limited"; to provide for the establishment of a Board of Electrical
Examiners composed of five (5) members, residents of the County,
which Board shall be empowered to provide for the examination of
licensees, and shall be further empowered to grant, deny, revoke, or
suspend licenses after hearing, subject to appeal to the County Board
of Appeals; to provide standards for the granting, denial, revocation,
and suspension of licenses; to require certain performance bonds and
liability insurance; to provide for compensation for Board members,
for administrative procedures, and the enforcement of the Act; and
to provide penalties for violation of the law.
Be It Enacted by the County Council for Montgomery County, Maryland,
that—
Section 1. Article II, Chapter 83, title "Electrical Contractor's
License," Montgomery County Code 1965, is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

Sec. 83-22. Definitions.
As used in this Article, the following words and phrases shall have
the meanings respectively ascribed to them by this section:
Board. The term "board" shall mean the board of electrical exami-
ners created by this Article.
