(f) When a re-evaluation, reallocation or reclassification of a posi-
tion results in a higher grade for a position, an incumbent employee's
new salary shall be the minimum increment of such higher grade, or his
present salary, whichever is higher.
(g) The effective date for all advancements in pay shall be the
first day of the normal pay period immediately following the date that
service requirements are met or the recommendation is made. The Per-
sonnel Officer shall assure that department heads are advised in advance
of the completion of minimum service requirements for pay advancements.
Section 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Ordinance
shall take effect forty-five (45) days from the date it becomes law.

12-1322 of the Anne Arundel County Code (1967 Edition and Supple-
ments), Title 12, "Licenses, Permits and Inspections", Subtitle 13,
"Taxicabs", AND TO ENACT NEW SECTION 12-1322 IN LIEU
THEREOF, TO STAND IN THE PLACE OF THE SECTION RE-
PEALED, revising the inspection requirements for taxicabs registered
in Anne Arundel County.
Section 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MARYLAND, That Section 12-1322 of the
Anne Arundel County Code (1967 Edition and Supplements), Title 12,
"Licenses, Permits and Inspections", Subtitle 13, "Taxicabs" be and it
is hereby repealed, and re-enacted, with amendments, NEW SECTION
12-1322 IS HEREBY ENACTED IN LIEU THEREOF, TO STAND IN
THE PLACE OF THE SECTION REPEALED, to read as follows:
Section 12-1322.
(a) Each taxicab registered in the County shall be inspected SEMI-
ANNUALLY at a AN INSPECTION STATION duly licensed state inspec-
tion station as required by Section 429 through 436, inclusive of Article
