2282 Municipal Charters
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, ENACTED and ORDAINED that
any section or sections of the Charter of the Town of Capitol Heights,
Maryland, which are inconsistent with the above enacted section, be and
the same are hereby repealed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, ENACTED and ORDAINED that
the aforegoing proposed amendment shall be posted in the Town Hall
for a period of at least forty (40) days following its adoption, and shall
further be published in The Enquirer-Gazette once in each of four suc-
cessive weeks before the 20th day of December, 1969.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, ENACTED and ORDAINED that
the proposed amendment will become and be considered a part of the
Municipal Charter of the Town of Capitol Heights on the 30th day of
December, 1969, unless a petition is filed pursuant to Article 23A, Section
13, of the Annotated Code of Maryland, 1957 Edition as amended, said
petition to be filed on or before the 20th day of December, 1969.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, ENACTED and ORDAINED that
the aforegoing Resolution and Ordinance be and the same is hereby
adopted this 10th day of November, 1969.

A Resolution of The Commissioners of Church Hill adopted pur-
suant to the authority of Article 11E of the Constitution of Maryland
and Section 13 of Article 23A of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition, as amended), title "Corporations—Municipal," sub-
title "Home Rule," to repeal in its entirety the existing Charter of
"The Commissioners of Church Hill," a municipal corporation of the
State of Maryland, as set forth in Sections 135 to 171 inclusive, of
Article 18 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition) (except that the corporate limits defined and described in
Chapter 434 of the Laws of 1886 shall continue to be the corporate
limits of Church Hill until changed in accordance with applicable
laws) and enacting in lieu thereof a new Charter, adopting substan-
tially the provisions of the Charter set forth in Article 23B of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Municipal Cor-
poration Charter," but containing provisions different therefrom, as
follows: the legislative powers of the Town shall be vested in a Com-
mission consisting of 3 Commissioners elected for 3-year, staggered
terms so that the term of one Commissioner will expire annually on
the second Monday in June; to qualify as a candidate for Commis-
