AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 2-108
(e) of Article 93 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1969 Re-
placement Volume), title "Decedent's Estates," subtitle "The
Court," subheading "The Probate Court," to change the salary
of the Judges of the Orphans' Court of Calvert County.
Section 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 2-108 (e) of Article 93 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1969 Replacement Volume), title "Decedent's Estates,"
subtitle "The Court," subheading "The Probate Court," be and it
is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, and to read as
follows:
2-108.
(e) Each of the judges of the court for Calvert County shall
receive as annual compensation the sum of [five hundred dollars
($500)] six hundred dollars ($600).
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the provisions of
this Act shall not be construed to extend or apply to the salary of
said judges in office on the effective date of this Act, but the pro-
visions of this Act concerning the salary of the same shall take
effect at the beginning of the next following term of office.
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.

CHAPTER 702
(House Bill 740)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, without change, Sections 6 and 7 of
Chapter 403 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1969, as
amended by Chapter 4 of the Acts of the Special Session of Decem-
ber 16, 1969, and to add new Sections 11 A, 11B and 11C AND 11B
thereto, to follow immediately after Section 11 thereof, in order to
designate what projects are to be funded in what amounts during
the fiscal year 1971 by the Outdoor Recreation Land Loan of 1969
and to resolve any possible doubt about the validity and effective-
ness of such designation which might arise from a conclusion that
such designation is an appropriation of State debt requiring in the
same measure a provision for the collection of an annual tax or
taxes to provide for principal and interest payments on that debt.
Whereas, There has been established a program to finance the
acquisition of land and the development of such land by the State and
by its subdivisions for outdoor public recreational and open space
purposes, said program being known as "Program Open Space"; and
