(e) In Calvert County, (1) The State's Attorney's salary is
[seventy-five hundred ($7,500).] twelve thousand five hundred dol-
lars ($12,500.00). From time to time as may be deemed wise or
necessary the judge of the Circuit Court of Calvert County may
appoint a temporary assistant State's attorney for a particular case
or series of cases and may fix his compensation.
[(2) The State's Attorney's allowance for office, traveling and
other expenses is two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500). Pay-
ments on account of this allowance shall be made at regular intervals
by the Board of County Commissioners upon the presentation of
bills by the State's Attorney.]
(2) The Commissioners of Calvert County shall furnish the
State's Attorney a secretary and a suitable office in the county court-
house, but shall not pay or reimburse him for any other expenses.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the provisions of this Act
shall not be construed to extend or apply to the salary of the
Calvert County State's Attorney in office on the effective date of this
Act, but shall take effect only at the beginning of the next following
term of office.
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.

(House Bill 544)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 2-108(f)
of Article 93 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1969 Replace-
ment Volume), title "Decedents' Estates," subtitle "The Court,"
subheading 'The Probate Court," to increase the compensation of
the judges of the Orphans' Court for Caroline County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 2-108 (f) of Article 93 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1969 Replacement Volume), title "Decedents' Estates," sub-
title "The Court," subheading "The Probate Court," be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

(f) Each of the judges of the court for Caroline County shall re-
ceive [twelve dollars ($12)] fifteen dollars ($15) for every day's
regular attendance upon the sessions of the court, not to exceed
[eight hundred twenty-five dollars ($825)] one thousand twenty
dollars ($1020) in any one year.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.
