any other unallocated taxes on monies received from the State. In
the event said funds are so pledged and are insufficient in any
one year to pay said principal and interest, any such deficiency shall
be made up under the full taxing power hereinafter provided for
in this section. For the purpose of paying the principal and interest
on said bonds, or so much thereof as may not be provided for from
"Current Expense Incentive Aid" payments and other tax monies
as so pledged, the County Commissioners of Calvert County are
authorized, empowered and directed to levy in each year so long
as any of said bonds are outstanding and unpaid, an ad valorem
tax on all property subject to taxation within Calvert County,
sufficient in rate and amount to pay the interest payable in said
year on all outstanding bonds and the principal of all bonds maturing
in said year, the proceeds of said tax to be kept in a special fund
and in no case to be used for any other purpose. In case such bonds
shall be issued in any year after the making of the regular levy for
that year, then the County Commissioners of Calvert County are
empowered, authorized and directed to pay any and all interest be-
coming due before the next levy, out of any other funds at their
disposal, and to levy at the next succeeding levy an amount sufficient
to reimburse such other funds.
Sec. 6. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.

(House Bill 493)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 37 (c)
of Article 87 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1969 Replace-
ment Volume), title "Sheriffs," subtitle "Compensation and
Duties," to provide for increase in the annual salaries of certain
officials and employees in the Sheriff's office of Baltimore County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 37 (c) of Article 87 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1969 Replacement Volume), title "Sheriffs," subtitle "Com-
pensation and Duties," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:
37.
(c) The Sheriff of Baltimore County shall receive an annual
salary of $15,000. He shall appoint a chief deputy at an annual
salary of [$10,000] $10,500 and deputy sheriffs employed as of July
1, 1968, shall each receive an annual salary of [$8,000] $8,500, and
shall receive such sum for necessary expenses as shall be authorized
by the County Council of said county. He shall also appoint a deputy
sheriff's matron, who shall receive compensation and benefits the
same as county employees under pay scale #.8 in the county em-
ployees' classification system and one (1) docket clerk, who shall
