No certificate or policy of sickness and accident insurance delivered
or issued for a deliverance EFFECTIVE ISSUED after July 1, 1970
to COVERING any person in this State, including both individual cer-
tificates or policies and group certificates or policies which provide
coverage for disability or term of sickness while confined at home,
shall exclude payments or benefits to that person because he leaves
the confinement of home for medical treatment. Coverage extends
to those persons confined at home, who are otherwise eligible, irre-
spective of the place of medical treatment.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.

AN ACT to add new Section 194(7) of Article 77 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1969 Replacement Volume), title "Public Edu-
cation," subtitle "Chapter 17. Teachers' Retirement System," to
follow immediately after Section 194(6), to permit a member to
purchase out-of-state PUBLIC SCHOOL teaching service or paro-
chial school AND/OR NON-PUBLIC SCHOOL TEACHING serv-
ice.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new Section 194(7) be and it is hereby added to Article 77
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1969 Replacement Volume),
title "Public Education," subtitle "Chapter 17. Teachers' Retirement
System," said new section to follow immediately after Section 194(6)
thereof, and to read as follows:
194. Creditable service.
(7) A member may receive in the year in which he retires credit
towards eligibility for benefits provided under Section 195 of this
Article for out-of-state PUBLIC SCHOOL teaching service and/or
non-public school TEACHING service up to a maximum of ten FIVE
years, provided he shall file claim therefor with the Board of Trustees
and shall pay into the Retirement System, an amount equal to the
reserves required to fund the additional allowance for such years of
out-of-state and/or non-public school teaching service as he may
claim.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
on July 1, 1970.
