this section shall be applicable only to those trailers, semitrailers and
pole trailers which are registered in this State and sold as new
vehicles on and after July 1, 1971.

§ 12-207. Omitted.

§ 12-208. Clearance, identification, and marker lamps and reflec-
tors.

(a) In addition to other equipment required by this subtitle,
including sections 12-203, 12-204, 12-205 and 12-206, the vehicles
mentioned below, when operated upon any highway, shall be equipped
as herein stated. All lamp equipment required shall be lighted at the
times mentioned in section 12-201. The reflectors elsewhere enumer-
ated for such vehicles shall conform to the requirements of section
12-211 (a).

(1) Buses and trucks 80 inches or more in overall width shall
have:

(i)    On the front, two clearance lamps, one at each side, and on
such vehicles manufactured or assembled after June 1, 1971, three
identification lamps meeting the specifications of subsection (b);

(ii) On the rear, two clearance lamps, one at each side, and after
June 1, 1970, three identification lamps meeting the specifications
of subsection (b);

(in) On each side, two side marker lamps, one at or near the
front and one at or near the rear; and

(iv) On each side, two reflectors, one at or near the front and-
one at or near the rear.

(2)    Trailers and semitrailers 80 inches or more in over-all
width shall have:

(i) On the front, two clearance lamps, one at each side;

(ii) On the rear, two clearance lamps, one at each side, and
after June 1, 1971, three identification lamps meeting the specifica-
tions of subsection (b);

(iii) On each side, two side marker lamps, one at or near the
front and one at or near the rear; and

(iv) On each side, two reflectors, one at or near the front and
one at or near the rear.

(3)    Truck tractors shall have on the front, two cab clearance
lamps, one at each side, and after June 1, 1971, all such vehicles shall
have in addition three identification lamps meeting the specifica-
tions of subsection (b).

(4) Motor vehicles, trailers, semitrailers, and pole trailers SO
feet or more in overall length shall have on each side, one amber side
marker lamp and one amber reflector, centrally located with respect
to the length of the vehicle.

(5) Pole trailers shall have:

(i) On each side, one amber side marker lamp at or near the
front of the load;
