§ 1-191. Stop.
Stop when required means complete cessation from movement.

§ 1-192. Stop or stopping.

Stop or stopping when prohibited means any halting even mo-
mentarily of a vehicle, whether occupied or not, except when neces-
sary to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with the
directions of a police officer or traffic-control sign or signal.

§ 1-198. Street.

Street means the entire width between the boundary lines of every
way or thoroughfare of any kind used by the public for purposes of
vehicular travel, whether actually dedicated to the public and ac-
cepted by the proper authorities or otherwise.

§ 1-194. Streetcar.

Streetcar means a car other than a railroad train for transporting
persons or property and operated upon rails principally within a
municipality.

§ 1-195. Suspension of driver's license.

Suspension of driver's license means the temporary withdrawal by
formal action of the department of a person's license or
privilege to operate a motor vehicle on the public highways, which
temporary withdrawal shall be for a period specifically designated
by the department.

§ 1-196. Omitted.

§ 1-197. Taxicab.

Taxicab means any motor vehicle for hire, designed to carry seven
persons or less, including driver, operated upon any public street or
highway in this State, or, on call or demand, accepting or soliciting
passengers, indiscriminately for transportation for hire between such
points along public streets or highways in this State, as may be
directed by the passenger or passengers so being transported; pro-
vided that nothing in this article shall be construed to include as a
taxicab, a motor vehicle operated with the approval of the Public
Service Commission on fixed routes and schedules.

§ 1-198. Through highway.

Through highway means every highway or portion thereof on
which vehicular traffic is given preferential right-of-way, and at the
entrances to which vehicular traffic from intersecting highways is
required by law to yield right-of-way to vehicles on such through
highway in obedience to either a stop sign, a yield sign, or a yield
right of way sign when such signs are erected as provided in this
article.

§ 1-199. Total purchase price.

Total purchase price means the price of a vehicle agreed upon by
the buyer and the seller with no allowance for trade-in.
